Thank you, Upward Twist, for your support that allowed me to serve with Medical Missions Outreach. There were three teams of volunteers and medical professionals that traveled to Peru to share the love of Christ through medicine. This trip was especially meaningful for me in that my whole family joined with me to serve in Peru. One team was in Lima, another in Iquitos, and our team was in Cusco. Our team of 39, offered free medical, physical therapy and optical services to more than 1,950 patients. There were 259 decisions for Christ throughout the 5 days of clinic.
This was my 6th trip with Medical Missions Outreach and like the previous trips, it's incredible to see the team that God brings together from all over the country to work in unity to serve others, for His glory. Each morning when we arrived at the clinic, we were greeted by so many people eager to have an opportunity to talk with someone who could help them with an illness or a health concern. Most importantly, each person had an opportunity to sit and hear the good news of the Gospel, and how much God loved them. The patients were so kind and appreciative of the clinic.
I'm extremely grateful for the opportunities and skills that God has given me to use for His glory. It was also a blessing to see my family serving and loving on the people of Cusco, Peru. One patient came into the optical clinic needing glasses for the sole purpose of being able to read her Bible. After several attempts at finding the right pair, my daughter was able to find her glasses that enabled her to read her Bible once again.
