There were 16 of us from Foursquare Church USA who went on the mission trip from Oct 14-29. We arrived at Abidjan on 10/15/2023 and were joined by the Ivorian team of healthcare workers and interpreters. We were also joined by missionaries Wade and Bea Preston who are resident Foursquare missionaries from USA that live in Abidjan. There is a Foursquare missions school run by Wade and Bea Preston. Graduating pastors are encouraged to go to different parts of Cote d’Ivoire to evangelize, disciple converts and establish a church for Christ.
The next day, we took a journey of about 7-8 hours by road to the northern part of Cote d’Ivoire which is mostly populated by Muslims. The team held clinics in namely, Dabakala, Katiola, and Fronon. Many Muslims gave their lives to Christ and there were deliverances and healings (see table below).
Total people seen: 1,219
Believers: 530
Salvations: 349
Deliverances: 20
Supernatural healing: 369
Holy Spirit Baptism: 29
Personally, I was touched by the number of people that have not heard about Jesus. There are truly unreached people in the world. It opened my eyes more to the magnitude of the work that needs to be done. I noted that the healthcare system in the country is in a poor state. A woman said to me when I was examining her child, “This is a real clinic I have come to”. Apparently, as she later explained, in their hospital, the healthcare provider hardly examined her children. She would tell them the complaint and they would treat empirically for the most part. I experienced the power of the Holy Spirit. His power to heal and deliver people when they are prayed for is amazing.
I am thankful to God for the privilege given to me to be part of the mission trip to Cote d’Ivoire. It is a great privilege to be part of what He is doing in the world at this end time. It is humbling. I am grateful to Upward Twist for making it possible for me to go. All glory to God. Amen.
